As more countries implement a Link 16 solution, the BATSD radio becomes a popular option for the ground operator and dismounted troops. It is very important to understand the storage and maintenance of the BATSD radio. Basic operations of the terminal are a key to success especially to the JTAC community.
This course will give an overview of the BATSD terminal, menu functions, and operations using ATRAX as the host software connected to an End User Device (EUD). The course will focus on ground operators, especially the JTAC community. We invite students to bring their own host software and EUD to test and verify connectivity. This course will be in partnership with SNC TRAX and will discuss common troubleshooting steps and lessons learned.
