As new platforms implement a Link 16 solution, host systems require software updates to communicate with the terminal host interface. Link 16 terminal emulation and simulation allow host developers to update host systems independently of the physical radio, significantly reducing cost, schedule, and risk during integration and throughout the platform's life cycle.
This course will provide an overview of Link 16 terminal emulation, network simulation, tactical data exchange, and the application of these capabilities to host development, testing, training, and continuous updates. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own host software to connect with L3Harris’ terminal emulator and Northrop Grumman’s TIGER simulation tool to test and verify connectivity and implementation. The course, conducted in partnership with Northrop Grumman, will also address common integration challenges and lessons learned.
